Job Title: Human Resource Generalist

We are currently seeking an initiative-taking and detail-oriented Human Resource Generalist to support our office of 30 employees. As part of our HR team, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing our HR processes to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Talent Management: Develop and maintain talent management processes to attract, retain, and develop top talent for the organization.

• Onboarding: Lead and facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.

• Employee Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

• Payroll and Payroll Assistance: Assist in payroll processing by providing necessary documentation and ensuring accurate records.

• Recruitment: Manage the recruitment process, from posting job openings to interviewing and selecting candidates.

• Performance Management: Support the performance management process by working with managers to establish goals, conduct performance reviews, and manage employee development.

• Personnel Policies: Administer and ensure compliance with company personnel policies and procedures.

• Compensation: Assist in the administration of compensation plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market competitiveness.

• Employee Evaluations: Conduct employee evaluations, providing feedback to employees and managers to foster growth and improvement.

• Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews with departing employees and provide insights on trends or areas of improvement.

• Investigating Complaints: Investigate employee complaints or concerns, ensuring confidentiality and addressing issues appropriately.

• Disciplinary Actions: Provide guidance and support to managers on disciplinary actions and help ensure proper documentation and fair treatment.

• HRIS: Work with HR information systems (ADP) to manage employee data, generate reports, and ensure system accuracy.

• Background Checks: Conduct background checks on potential new hires and ensure compliance with company policy.

• Employee Engagement: Promote employee engagement by developing and organizing programs and initiatives that improve morale and team cohesion.

• Recruitment Assistance: Offer recruitment assistance to other departments, providing guidance and support to hiring managers.

• Employee Benefits: Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate enrollment and support for employees.

• Staffing Activities: Oversee staffing activities, including managing job postings, sourcing candidates, and coordinating interviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and best practices.
  • Experience with ADP Systems and other HR tools/systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, small-to-medium sized organization is a plus.
